Hey co-op people! Over here!

To the tens of people who may have followed the link from the Common Ground Food Co-op June Newsletter, welcome to tofunuloaf.com. You’ve inspired me to post something new, which is not likely to happen again for another 4-6 months. I’m going to take this opportunity to make you all look at pictures taken during a recent canoe outing to Kickapoo State Park.

This is Sportsman’s Lake, which is really beautiful and has a ton of beavers.  Well, ok, it was more like five, but that’s still a lot of beaver.  They may have outnumbered the geese.

It’s a nice lake.

There are a bajillion channels between parts of the lake.

There was this spur that went off the east end of the lake, which is home to a lot of large fish and at least one very large beaver.

Alas, the only picture I could get of a beaver was the back of one’s head.  But the ears are seriously cute!

more lake.

Look!  More water!

Cypress trees are cool.

lots of nooks and crannies are available for exploration.

These plants are from space.

This picture features a big yellow thing that we see from time to time around here.

This insect hitched a ride on my hat for part of our excursion.

insert dramatic sky photo here.
